Disney World Suspends New Annual Pass Sales. . . . Again
It wasn’t that long ago when Disney announced that they would be resuming Annual Pass sales and introducing 4 new tiers for guests to choose from. In fact, it was only on the 8th of September that these passes became available for purchase. Only 75 days later though, without much warning, Walt Disney World has suspended the sale of Annual Passes.
Currently, at the time that this is being written, the Disney Pirate Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass and Disney Incredi-Pass are all listed as “Currently Unavailable” on the Walt Disney World website. However, sale of the Disney Pixie Dust Pass [a pass for Florida residents with the most blockout dates and fewest perks] has not been suspended at this time.
At this time, Walt Disney World has provided very little information regarding this “pause” on the sale of most Annual Passes. The only information we’ve been able to gather thus far has been that the new “sales of select Annual Passes are currently paused” and that we should “check back for the latest updates”. We’ve also seen many reports that this will not impact those trying to renew their Annual Passes. When the sale of new Annual Passes will resume has yet to be announced. Of course, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any developments.
