Bryan’s Spanish Cove | 2 Bedroom Condo Review

Bryan’s Spanish Cove is one of those places that you’re not likely to stumble upon unless you know to keep an eye out for it. Only minutes away [and I mean like 10 to 15 tops] from anywhere on Walt Disney World property, Bryan’s Spanish Cove offers large rooms at what seems to be an unbeatable price point. The question is, does it deliver what it advertises? We booked a room at Bryan’s Spanish Cove to find out and were pleasantly surprised with what we found.

The thing about Bryan’s Spanish Cove that immediately caught our eye when searching for resorts around Walt Disney World was the size of the rooms at the price point. During our stay [early March 2023] the rooms were under $150 per night, including all taxes and fees. That’s a really great rate for a hotel, even better for a 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen and laundry.

Naturally, we had our doubts. While we know that there are some great places out there for low prices, it’s more often the case that they’re great pictures of dated and worn out rooms. . . which is why we were so pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to room 116 at Bryan’s Spanish Cove.

The room, which sits on the first floor overlooking the lake, has everything that a family could want or need for a relaxing stay in Central Florida. There’s 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen with a large living area and laundry. There’s even a screened patio for relaxing evenings overlooking the lake without the hassle of bugs. Check out the full room tour HERE.

Like any other room, it looked wonderful initially, but how did it hold up all night and into the next morning?

There’s no denying that the room had its flaws. While it has clearly been spruced up with some paint in recent years, the work isn’t the best that we’ve seen. There are paint marks on some of the furniture, light fixtures and floor. It’s also evident that the tubs in both bathrooms are old and have been painted over to keep them looking fresh. Which works, but only just slightly.

While we didn’t encounter anything in the room that wasn’t working, it’s important to note that this is not a new resort. Some things, like the stopper on the tub, are in disrepair and you can see the scuffs and dings around the room from use.

The next matter worth discussing is the sound. Bryan’s Spanish Cove has quiet hours and from what we can tell they were observed. However, the sound from the room above us was loud and lasted throughout the evening and into the next morning. At times it was simply the sound of people walking, which is to be expected, but there was also a loud consistent banging that happened at some point in the night [around 3AM as best I can tell] that woke us up and kept us up for a while. Whether or not this would be a problem during a different stay, I cannot say. However, I think it’s worth mentioning that you may want to consider a white noise machine if you’re planning on staying here.

Privacy was also another concern that we had when checking into the resort, mainly because of the rooms location on the ground floor along a footpath. Again, this is something that you can expect from other resorts as well when staying in this type of room, but it was something that we thought was worth noting. Truthfully, we didn’t have much of an issue with this during our stay. The only time that we even noticed was the one time someone walked by the room first thing in the morning when we had the shades open to let some of the morning sun in. That having been said, if you do have anxieties or concerns about people walking past your room in such a way, it might be worth requesting a 2nd floor room.

Overall, while it had its faults, we enjoyed our stay at Bryan’s Spanish Cove. The staff was wonderful, the location was great and the resort was overall quiet. Would we stay here again or recommend it to family and friends? Sure! In fact, we think it’s a worth while place to stay at a great price if you’re looking for space and relaxing accommodations in the Central Florida area.
