“Disney Genie” Launch Day Has Arrived! . . . . . and we’re still waiting for access.

Today’s the day! After lots of waiting and speculation, Disney Genie is here! 

Disney Genie is a new system, or tool, that is built right into your My Disney Experience app to help you plan your day at Walt Disney World. While the Disney Genie’s planning tools are free to use, there are also paid options that will grant you more perks; like Lightning Lane. . . the replacement for FastPass+.

There’s a lot to be said about Disney Genie and the paid upgrades that will come along with it, but this morning we’ve found ourselves unable to gain access. While we have followed the prompts in our My Disney Experience app and tried using the website as an alternative, we’ve been unlucky thus far. There are a number of reasons that this might be the case, but we’re not going to speculate much. What we will say is that these types of technical errors and delays are likely to happen in the next few days as Disney Genie gets itself squared away. . . . . so be sure to take some deep breaths and keep that in mind going in.
