First Look At Harmonious

Since we first saw the massive barges make their way into World Showcase Lagoon we’ve had a lot of questions. Of course, we’ve had a few glimpses into what we might be expecting from the all new nighttime spectacular. Daytime testing has given us a look at the way the barges move and what the fountain features are capable of. Photos released from Disney more recently have also given us a chance to see what everything looks like when the fountains and screens function together. Now, we’ve got another look at what we’re expecting from Harmonious with a video released by Disney on the Disney Parks Blog Instagram account.

In what is undoubtedly an attempt to hype guests for the debut of Harmonious, Disney Parks Blog released a video talking about the show that is coming to World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT later this year. The video not only shows the barges operating some of their features, but all of them together. Between the clips, Disney Imagineers and others who worked on the show explain what we can expect from Harmonious when it debuts. They explain that the show will be in multiple parts that will encourage guests from around the world to come together as one.

Though there is no denying that Harmonious will be something to see, this glimpse into the show didn’t do much to change our opinion. Even fully operational, the barges are large and distracting. . . . even with screens and fountains running. The position and shape of the barges also make us wonder how well you’ll be able to see the show if you’re not in very specific spots around World Showcase Lagoon. Again, we won’t really know until we see the show in person, but it’s certain something we’re thinking about.

What are your thoughts about Harmonious now that you’ve seen the new video? We’d love for you to join the Jamboree and tell us what you think! See you there.
