Cute [& Some Scary] NEW Mandalorian Merch

It probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone that we ended up back at the Disney Store just about as soon as February rolled around. Yes, we were just there not too long ago, but with the new nuiMOs collection for February coming out we wanted to take a look and see what had hit the shelves. Unfortunately, there wasn’t as much as we were hoping to see [which we will have to talk about some other time], but there was some cute and some scary Mandalorian merch!

The first thing that caught our attention when strolling into the Mandalorian section of this particular Disney Store location was the women’s The Child robe. This is a short robe that is super plush and very soft. It has 3D ears on the hood and embroidered features as well as a frog popping out of the pocket.

It is very cute and something that I would most definitely wear to stay cozy around the house if it were longer. That said, I know that not everyone likes a floor length robe. [What can I say? I like roaming around my house like royalty!] Because of the length, and the range of sizes, I think that this robe could easily work for a child also. The price for this robe is $49.99 and it is available in store and on shopDisney.

Next up we have the Loungefly The Child mini backpack [link is not the same backpack as pictured] and matching wallet. There have been The Child mini backpacks by Loungefly before, but it seems like there is a new style that features The Child actually smiling rather than the neutral face that he had on in the previous version of this backpack. [Note: LInked above is the old version, which is the version that is currently available on shopDisney. The pictured version of the backpack is not currently available on shopDisney.] For what it’s worth, we think that the smiling is an improvement. That said, the backpack still creeps us out a bit.

Personal opinions about The Child’s depiction aside, both of us were very pleased to see that there was a backpack and matching wallet. It was also nice to see them available, and in stock, at one location. One of the things that sometimes bugs us about the Loungefly bags [whether they are backpacks or otherwise] is that they don’t always have a matching wallet and when they do it can be hard to find them both in one place. This isn’t only true for Disney Store locations, but also at Walt Disney World. Fortunately, this didn’t seem to be the case today for the $80.00 backpack or the $40.00 wallet, but whether or not this trend will continue is yet to be seen.

We also saw this really eye catching Mandalorian stationary set. It’s a faux leather folder with a zipper closure and includes a pen, notebook and more. This isn’t a new item. I saw it for the first time during our January visit to the Disney Store. but didn’t think to get a picture. Unfortunately, as much as I like this stationary set, it’s not available on shopDisney and so I can’t link to the product page or give you a price. However, if you like the image on the front of this set as much as we do, it is popping up on other products at shopDisney that you might want to check out.

Last, but certainly not least, we’ve got a pillow blanket featuring The Child in his little carrier. I’m not sure whether or not we’ve talked about these pillow blankets in the past or not, but rest assured that we’ll be talking a lot about them in the future, because they’re one of our favorite things! Again, this isn’t a new item, but we thought that it would be a good one to share because of how useful they are both in the parks and at home.

In a nutshell, this is a hooded blanket that can be wrapped up into itself forming a pillow. They’re cute, because they’re basically a functional plush and you know how much we like functional souvenirs! They’re also super useful if you’re traveling in the car, on a plane or even if you’re using a wheelchair in the parks. Like I said, we’ll talk more about that in the future.

That pretty much does it as far as new Mandalorian merch. Of course, the shelves were stacked with some of our favorites from the past few months also. There were even some sales on items like spirit jerseys at this particular location we stopped in at, so be sure to check it out if you’re a Mandalorian fan and are looking for some deals!
