Walt Disney World Phasing Out Physical Distancing
Updates were made to the Walt Disney World website today on the Know Before You Go page that seem to suggest physical distancing will be phased at in some capacity at Walt Disney World. The website no longer shows the “6 food / 2 meters” social distancing guidelines on the graphics listed on the page and now includes the following text:
“Temporary adjustments are still in place to promote physical distancing. While we will reduce physical distancing measures for Guests across many areas with a gradual, phased approach, six-feet distancing measures will continue in all dining locations, merchandise stores and in areas where Guests can temporarily remove their masks.”
The site still outlines physical distancing measures that “may include” things such as signage, ground markings, physical barriers, guidance on those with parties of 10 or more and so on.
We will continue to provide updates on the health and safety protocols at Walt Disney World as we move forward. That said, we encourage those visiting in the near future to check the Know Before You Go page so that you have the most up to date information from Walt Disney World.
