Welcome Home: Disney Parks Around The World Are Open
Today is a monumental day for Disney Parks around the globe. After more than a year, Disney Parks around the world are welcoming guests once again after being closed due to the pandemic. This very big day was marked by a post on Disney Parks Blog by the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro in a blog post on Disney Parks Blog. In the post Mr D’Amaro says:
“It’s the day we’re reopening Disneyland Paris Resort, and it’s the first time in 17 months that all of our theme parks around the world are open, bringing people together to enjoy happiness, hope and inspiration. Needless to say, we are absolutely thrilled!
To our guests and fans … thank you for supporting and standing by us. We’re honored that you’ve stuck with us through a very difficult time, and I’m moved by the imaginative ways you’ve kept the Disney magic alive in your own families and communities during our closures. Seeing you back in our parks and resorts has been amazing.
To our cast members, crew members, Imagineers and employees … thank you for persevering and keeping the faith, from work and from home. You’re the heartbeat of all that we do, and the true source of Disney magic. I love seeing you, and saying hello and catching up.”
Mr D’Amaro goes on to talk about all of the exciting things that are happening at Disney Parks around the world. He also takes some time to mention Disney Cruise Line and say that its relaunch is “on the horizon”. This is an exciting bit of news for guests who have been looking forward to boarding a Disney Cruise ship once again.
The post also features a short video from Disney Parks around the world where Cast Members are welcoming guests home.
For us, the reopening of the parks around the world does in fact seem monumental. Though things slowly start to make their way back towards something that resembles normal and a faster pace every day, knowing that this source of magic and inspiration [or flat out “normal”] for guests around the world is now back. . . . it seems big!
