Walt Disney World No Longer Requiring Masks Outdoors
After revised guidance from the CDC regarding masks as well as a decision by Orange County Governor Jerry Demings, Walt Disney World has made changes to their face covering policy. The changes, which are now reflected on the Walt Disney World website, no longer require guests to wear face coverings in outdoors locations.
Guests visiting Walt Disney World are still required to wear an approved face covering in all indoor locations, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary and physically distant. This includes while entering and riding attractions, in theaters and while on transportation. Face coverings will now be optional while in ordoor common areas at the Walt Disney World Resort.
This announcement came today following similar announcements from other Orlando area theme parks and a hint that the change may have been coming down the pipe yesterday by Disney CEO Bob Chapek during the second quarter earnings call.
