Drury Plaza Hotel Disney Springs Area Review

If you’re looking for a place to stay nearby the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida you have quite a few options to choose from. There are the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that will have you staying right inside the magic and even entire homes you can rent in neighboring towns. However, there are also lots of options that sit somewhere in the middle. Drury Plaza Hotel, located in the Disney Springs Area, is one such option.

Located about one miles from Disney Springs on foot, Drury Plaza Hotel is the newest addition to the area having opened in late 2022. The hotel features rooms of varying sizes to accommodate families of different sizes, including the King Suite that we stayed in during our visit.

It also has quite the list of amenities for guests to enjoy including a fitness center, guest laundry, pool, splash pad, bar, restaurant and free food that’s we spent some time talking about HERE.

As for our room, we had booked a King Suite and it was a great room. There was plenty of room to spread out and move around with enough to fit another 2 adults and child if we need to. While there was no kitchen, like you might find in some condo style accommodations, this room felt like a small apartment and would have easily been a great option for staying a week or more while visiting Walt Disney World and the surrounding area.

Beyond the room, the hotel itself was also great. It felt modern and clean, but not sterile. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming as well, whether it was at the front desk or just passing by housekeeping in the halls.

Now, this is the point where I usually say what I was unhappy about with a resort of hotel. I focus on some of the shine that diminished during my stay. . . . but I can’t do that with this hotel. Of course, this is a new hotel. That said, it is so well put together with such quality that there doesn’t seem to be anything I can point out specifically. That said, the real question will be if this hotel stands the test of time. This is something we’ll just have to wait and find out. After all, upkeep is going to be key.

That all having been said, I do think that this is a great option for guests who are looking for a nice place to stay that is nearby, but not inside Walt Disney World. I also think that this would be a great option for guests who want to enjoy Disney Springs, but don’t plan on visiting the theme parks.
